All those new to Alpha Brave CrossFit must complete our CrossFit Foundations Course. This is investment is a valuable starting point to set you up on the road to success. Our Foundations program consists of 3x Classes
YOU WILL LEARN:
Air Squat, Goblet Squat, Front Squat, Wallball, Sit up, Burpee
Strict Press, Push Press, Push Jerk, Box Jumps
Deadlifts, Sumo Deadlift High Pull, Wallball Clean, Skipping, Kettlebell Swing
Overhead Squat, Thrusters, Pullups.
1. SAFETY for you and others in the class .
Classes are fast paced, so jumping into a class with no prior knowledge of the movements is a recipe for disaster! If you don't know the fundamental movements, it's progressions or a weight to use, not only do you put yourself in danger with improper technique, it puts others in danger. The coach has limited class time to help everyone, it is inefficient to use that valuable time teaching a newbie a fundamental movements while neglecting others in the class. Foundations help keep classes running efficiently, which benefits the whole community.
New members can expect to be better prepared, less intimidated, and less likely to injure themselves.
2. PROGRESSION in the long term.
It takes longer to learn movements and progress if you jump into a class with no prior knowledge of moments or environment. Consistency is key, and the Foundation course provides a proper technique base to progress from. We can better assess your abilities and personally scale movements accordingly so that when you join into the main class, you wont be confused on what movement to do or weight to use safely.
What if you have had experience with CrossFit before? You will need to complete at least ONE 1:1 Session with our coach to make sure your movements are safe, standards and expectations are set, get familiar with the gym and it's coach, and can act as a refresher coarse.
$175 per person, for 3x Sessions (up to 3x people per class)
Must be completed within 7 days, cancellations on the day will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
